Mientras la <strong>Unidad Ejecutora para la Readecuaci\u00f3n de Barrios y Entornos (URBE)<\/strong> avanza con el proceso, los residentes denuncian que las <strong>compensaciones econ\u00f3micas<\/strong> son <strong>insuficientes<\/strong> y que el Estado no ofrece <strong>alternativas reales<\/strong> para una vivienda digna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Gentrificaci\u00f3n y desplazamiento forzado<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El <strong>Puente de la 17<\/strong> ha sido hogar para cientos de familias durante d\u00e9cadas, muchas de las cuales han construido sus vidas en ese espacio. Sin embargo, con el <strong>proceso de readecuaci\u00f3n urbana<\/strong>, estas familias se ven <strong>obligadas a abandonar sus hogares<\/strong> sin recibir una compensaci\u00f3n justa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u00abNos dicen que esto es por el desarrollo de la ciudad, pero \u00bfdesarrollo para qui\u00e9n? Nosotros no tenemos ad\u00f3nde ir\u00bb<\/em>, cuestion\u00f3 <strong>Juan Carlos<\/strong>, quien ha vivido <strong>43 a\u00f1os<\/strong> bajo el puente y recibi\u00f3 <strong>RD$750,000<\/strong> por su vivienda, un monto que considera <strong>insuficiente<\/strong> para comprar una casa en el mercado actual.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Compensaciones que no garantizan una vivienda digna<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Muchos residentes, como <strong>Annerys Tavares<\/strong>, quien recibi\u00f3 <strong>RD$250,000<\/strong> por una casa de madera que alquilaba, denuncian que los montos ofrecidos por URBE <strong>no alcanzan<\/strong> para adquirir una vivienda en condiciones decentes. <em>\u00abCon ese dinero no puedo comprar nada. Ahora tendr\u00e9 que alquilar, y con los precios actuales, no s\u00e9 c\u00f3mo voy a pagar\u00bb<\/em>, expres\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Otros, como <strong>Yissel Estrella Delgado Caraballo<\/strong>, a\u00fan <strong>no han recibido<\/strong> la compensaci\u00f3n prometida desde <strong>2019<\/strong>. <em>\u00abMe dijeron que me dar\u00edan un monto, pero hasta ahora nada. \u00bfC\u00f3mo voy a moverme sin recursos?\u00bb<\/em>, se pregunt\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Resistencia y lucha por una soluci\u00f3n justa<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A\u00fan quedan <strong>varias familias<\/strong> que se resisten al traslado. <strong>Mart\u00ednez Medina Ferreras<\/strong>, quien lleva m\u00e1s de <strong>20 a\u00f1os<\/strong> en el lugar, se niega a aceptar el monto ofrecido porque <strong>no cubre el valor de su vivienda<\/strong>. <em>\u00abAqu\u00ed nac\u00ed, aqu\u00ed crec\u00ed, aqu\u00ed tengo mi vida. No me voy a ir por un dinero que no me alcanza ni para alquilar\u00bb<\/em>, declar\u00f3 con firmeza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>El proceso de traslado: Entre la supervisi\u00f3n y la demolici\u00f3n<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">URBE asegura que el proceso es <strong>voluntario<\/strong> y que las familias son <strong>notificadas con antelaci\u00f3n<\/strong>. <strong>Luis Alc\u00e1ntara<\/strong>, supervisor de la entidad, explic\u00f3 que se les ofrece <strong>transporte en minibuses con aire acondicionado<\/strong> y <strong>servicio de mudanza<\/strong>. Sin embargo, los residentes denuncian que el proceso es <strong>forzoso<\/strong>. <em>\u00abNos dicen que es voluntario, pero si no aceptamos, nos dejan sin nada. \u00bfD\u00f3nde est\u00e1 la opci\u00f3n?\u00bb<\/em>, cuestion\u00f3 una vecina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>El futuro del espacio: Demoliciones y planes inciertos<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El <strong>Ministerio de Obras P\u00fablicas y Comunicaciones (MOPC)<\/strong> demuele las estructuras una vez que las familias son trasladadas. <strong>Wilton Fern\u00e1ndez<\/strong>, ingeniero civil de la obra, inform\u00f3 que se colocar\u00e1n <strong>vallas<\/strong> para evitar nuevas ocupaciones y que, para <strong>octubre de 2025<\/strong>, est\u00e1 prevista la entrega de un <strong>nuevo destacamento policial<\/strong> en la zona.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mientras tanto, familias como la de <strong>Natal\u00ed<\/strong>, quien viv\u00eda con su esposo en una casa heredada, se enfrentan a un futuro incierto. Su vivienda fue tasada en <strong>RD$300,000<\/strong>, un monto que considera <strong>irrisorio<\/strong> para el mercado actual. <em>\u00abNos quedaremos en la calle si nos sacan. No tenemos ad\u00f3nde ir\u00bb<\/em>, advirti\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Un llamado a repensar las pol\u00edticas de vivienda<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El caso del <strong>Puente de la 17<\/strong> refleja un problema m\u00e1s amplio en Rep\u00fablica Dominicana: la <strong>falta de vivienda asequible<\/strong> y la <strong>gentrificaci\u00f3n<\/strong> que desplaza a familias de bajos ingresos sin ofrecerles alternativas reales. <em>\u00abEl Gobierno habla de desarrollo, pero \u00bfdesarrollo para qui\u00e9n?
